Workshops with
Eric Dinzel & Flavia Kohut
Friday 13th - Saturday 14th March 2026

Sintonía Tango School is pleased to promote these workshops on behalf of
Eric Dinzel & Flavia Kohut
Eric & Flavia are professional tango dancers, choreographers and pedagogues. Eric leads the Dinzel Studio in Buenos Aires and teaches at CETBA, the tango university in Buenos Aires. He has also taught at the Tango World Festival in 2011 and 2013, and is in demand at various Tango centres in Europe. Flavia is educated in classic dance, and has also knowledge within modern dance and jazz dance. Her tango career began when she participated in Rodolfo and Eric Dinzels improvisation seminar in 2012. Today she's co-working with Eric both in teaching and as his dance partner.
Teaching Programme
The exciting Teaching Programme this year covers Musicality, Turns, Improvisation & Dynamics. Attending all workshops is best to gain a fuller learning experience and to benefit from the way the ideas in the classes layer together.
Workshop 1: Friday 13th March 18:15-19:45 - Imp-Adv
Musical Interpretation
Exploring how music transforms movement quality: weight, suspension, accents, and bodily textures. Practical work to translate silences, attacks, and rhythmic variations into precise physical decisions within improvisation.
Workshop 2: Friday 13th March 20:00-21:30 - Int-Adv
Turns in the Dinzel System
Axis, dissociation, and directional clarity for clean, expressive turns. The turn as an improvised dialogue rather than a fixed form.
Workshop 3: Saturday 14th March 13:00-14:30 - Imp-Adv
Improvisation: Creating Through Communication
Tools for making real-time decisions while maintaining the unity of the embrace. Shared listening as the basis for creativity.
Workshop 4: Saturday 14th March 15:00-16:30 - Int-Adv
Rhythmic Sequences: Precision, Accents, and Dynamic Control
Study of rhythmic patterns applied to tango: stops, syncopations, directional changes, and variations. Work on precision, accentuation, and dynamic control to incorporate clean rhythmic sequences into improvisation.
